History and basic information
Testosterone
is a product that, despite being used in such a widespread manner for sporting
and aesthetic use relatively recently, has been around in research and medical
circles for almost two centuries.
The item
started out as abstract, that was taken from animal testes by researchers and
examined, with a host of benefits theorized about its administration in humans.
Once these benefits were confirmed and the synthetic creation of Testosterone
Enanthate became possible, mass production and use quickly followed. First,
this was as a form of treatment for ailments, then it quickly found its way
into the regimes of high level athletes after the Soviets began using it to
help their athletes. Then,
aesthetic athletes started using it.
Fast forward
three decades and it has become one of the most popular drugs around, being
used to help improve appearance and sportive capability. It’s recreational use
is even surpassing that of medical and research uses, despite heavy government
regulation and increased difficulty in getting Testosterone Enanthate.
Structurally,
Testosterone Enanthate is similar to its endogenous counterpart, and to other
esteroides versions of Testosterone. It’s main difference is that it has the
Enanthate chemical delivery agent attached to it, known commonly as an ester.
This is a relatively more gradual and slower acting delivery agent, with an
active-life of around 8 days, meaning less injections of the item will be
needed per period of activity of the Testosterone supplement in the body.
Another minor difference that should be noted is that, due to the structure of the chemical delivery agent, this form of Testosterone contains more free Testosterone (the part that acts on the body) than other long-acting forms, such as Testosterone Cypionate. This gives it the potential to be a more potent chemical on a milligram-per-milligram basis, and more efficient chemical as a result.
Mechanisms
of action in the body and common outcomes
Testosterone
Cypionate operates in the body in a similar manner to other anabolic compounds.
Namely, it binds to specific androgen receptors and converts to DHT as part of
this process, in order to change the signaling in specific cells on a molecular
level to cause a global change across the body in the process and results for outcomes
like greater tissue mass and faster recovery.
It should
be noted that, while the DHT conversion elicits the desired effect of
Testosterone Cypionate, it’s also a driving factor for many undesirable events
such as skin issues, virilizing effects in women, and balding.
It also has
a moderate to high affinity for partial conversion to the estrogen hormone,
which increases risk of fluid and fat gains with use, although this also makes it
useful for increasing mass overall. It also raises the risk of incurring a
large amount of tissue buildup around the breasts, known as gynecomastia.
The latter
of these adverse effects explains usually why items like Nolvadex, Clomid and
Arimidex are used to try managing and preventing these issues. These may also
be of some use with people who experience prostate issues. As with all
Testosterone products, the endogenous manufacturing of the hormone in the body
will be reduced or even ceased with prolonged use, due to an impact on HPTA
function. So, many individuals also employ a regime, here after known as Post
Cycle Therapy, where the above-mentioned items are used with HCG, in order to
aid recovery of the body’s natural production.
Although, it should be noted that, while the above-mentioned issues are something to be carefully considered, the severity and commonality of their occurrence would still be lower than more potent agents. They are also far easier to manage and may even be preventable, particularly with careful management of dose and the period of time over which it’s employed.
Administration,
dose, and regular use information
The longer
acting and more gradual releasing nature of Testosterone Enanthate makes it
more useful for beginner users, who may prefer a lower frequency of injection, in
order to obtain the benefits of such supplementation.
Although,
it should also be noted that, just as the perks are lasting and sustained longer,
so are any undesirable effects incurred from its use.
In general,
an amount of 250 to 1000 milligrams would most commonly be injected for those using
the Testosterone Enanthate to either improve their appearance or boost their
capability for training and competition. This would most commonly be done
through an intramuscular injection, with sterile equipment of course, in one of
many common sites in the body, including the lateral deltoid muscle in the side
shoulder, or the glute muscles in the buttocks.
However, it
is commonly practiced to heat the oil in the vial first, in order to soften the
texture of it and make it easier to administer. This is usually done by boiling
a cup of water and, after it has boiled, letting it cool slightly before placing
the bill into the water for around 10 seconds. This should help ensure a
smoother experience and prevent issues like soreness following administration.
Another tip
for avoiding excessive soreness following injection is to rotate the sites that
you use for administering the agent. Cleaning the area you are about to
administer the Testosterone Enanthate into can also help with preventing
infections in the site thereafter too. All of which is useful for beginners who
may not be used to the discomfort of taking such agents.
It’s also
key to ensure you don’t take Testosterone Enanthate for an excessively long
period of time. The most common period of use is between 8 to 12 weeks.
However, it should be noted that there have been instances where experienced
practitioners have gone past this period, with some reporting continuous use
for as long as a year. However, such prolonged use would not have been without
a large share of negative effects accompanying any benefits.
Also,
important information for beginners includes the fact that Testosterone
Enanthate will be pretty hard to come across, and some sources that offer it
might overcharge you. The former is due to government regulation and the latter
is often due to you, not knowing the usually cost of it. This is why you should
try to stick with reputable vendors and do your homework on the price and where
is a trustworthy place to get your drugs (through checking for reviews and
previous users experience). This will help you save some money and make sure
you’re not getting ripped off or even putting yourself in a risky position with
the inclusion of a counterfeit or contaminated form of Testosterone Enanthate
into your plans.
